Offshore oil spill containment booms

MY-BOOM HD is an oil spill containment boom designed with 2-ply of polyester/polyamide fabric covered with oil- and chemical resistant nitrile/chloroprene rubber. Together with the vertical stiffeners between the air chambers and the ballast shorter than the boom skirt this design gives a durable boom that will work well and contain the oil spill in offshore condition.

The boom is made in 4 different sizes to suit the sea condition. The sizes are 1300, 1500, 1800 and 2000 mm deflated height. Usual section length is 50m

4 -5 boom sections are stored and deployed from a hydraulically driven boom winder, that can be an open winder or be stored in a custom made container or an offshore container made to DNV 2.7.1 specifications.

The My-Boom HD system also includes a set of towing equipment for both ends of the 200 – 250 m boom – stored in the boom container

Offshore skimmers

KWS-490 is a lightweight, high capacity weir skimmer with a high performance helical screw pump, and equipped with self-adjusting weir lip and 3 detachable HDPE outrigger floats for increased stability in waves.

The sump and float arms are manufactured from stainless steel for long life in a marine environment.

KDB-4050 Disc / brush combination skimmers are designed for operation in all types of oil from diesel to fuel oil. In light oils discs are used and for oils with higher viscosity you change to brushes. The quick shift arrangement of the disc / brush bank ensures minimal stoppage time.

Robust design – thick PVC discs and/or nylon brushes mounted in a sturdy drum built into an aluminium body ensure long lasting performance in the most arduous conditions.
